People are selfish.
People expect other people to be selfish.
Selfish meaning that you care for yourself. You look where you are going, you make sure you are doing what you want. You do what you want.
If you are not selfish, you have a problem.
This is what is the general practical opinion.
Again, doesnt fare well with the romantic in me.
